In a city that has abolished heroes, Davik works a normal office job by day while secretly becoming Dark Oracle at night. As Yamazu’s criminal empire fills the power vacuum, Davik struggles to protect an ordinary life without exposing himself, even after his high-school sweetheart Naraka cheats on him with Darvo, a polished philanthropist whose charity masks a con. But Yamazu is only one head of the underworld: the rest of the yakuza leadership watches through the city itself, turning every street, camera, and institution into a possible set of eyes. At the story’s end, an innocent new employee joins Davik’s office: Himawari, the CEO’s granddaughter and only three years younger than him. She knows the city’s darker side and agrees with the vigilante’s methods, but does not know Davik is Dark Oracle. Her hope that the city can become better opens the possibility of a new connection.
