At Hinomori Elementary, most adults see an ordinary school. The children see something else. Shadow creatures born from fear, loneliness, anger, and insecurity have begun slipping into the halls—and two seemingly ordinary teachers are the only ones standing in their way. By day, Arcy and Jennifer teach, supervise, and protect their students. But when the darkness appears, they become supernatural warriors armed with steel, courage, and abilities unlike anything their students could imagine. But these monsters can’t always be defeated with a blade. Sometimes, the only way to destroy a child’s nightmare… is to help them overcome it. CHALK & STEEL: RECESS OF THE DAMNED They teach by day. They hunt nightmares after the bell.
