Crescent Moon Academy follows Kuro Astrem, a reserved young man born human and transformed into something between human and vampire after a traumatic encounter with an ancient vampire. With light brown skin, tousled black hair, muted amber-gold eyes, and a slender athletic build, Kuro hides his supernatural nature beneath dark academy clothing while studying at a vast institution where humans, vampires, monsters, and other beings learn to control their powers. Kuro wields subtle Aether Manipulation, martial arts, speed, and instinct, but his abilities grow more dangerous as an ancient bloodline awakens within him. Seraphina, an ancient and powerful vampire, becomes Kuro’s mentor, protector, and connection to the hidden supernatural world. Calm, elegant, intimidating, and difficult to read, she teaches him to control hunger and instinct while concealing what she knows about his abnormal transformation, fang markings, Holy Locket, and bloodline. Her centuries-old history with an infamous vampire from the age of vampire wars gradually reveals dangerous lore, betrayal, and powers modern beings barely understand. Kuro questions whether she protects him because she cares for who he is or fears what he may become. Across a serialized season of gothic mysteries, academy rivalries, ancient ruins, supernatural cities, brutal non-gory fights, and emotional consequences, Kuro’s eyes slowly shift toward crimson, his fangs emerge, and his vampire instincts threaten his humanity. During a desperate battle to protect someone important, his Aether reacts violently, blood begins moving in response to his thoughts, and he awakens Blood Manipulation. The frightening transformation nearly consumes him before he regains control. In the aftermath, Kuro asks, “What am I?” Seraphina answers, “That is the question I’ve been trying to keep you from asking.” Cut to black.
