But when a freak accident pulls him through the screen, Dan arrives without the avatar’s armor, strength, or level. The NPCs expect a savior; dark wizard Ebenezer wants the mysterious “anomaly” erased. Joined by elf archer Rosie and battle-scarred outlaw Finn, Dan crosses monster-filled mountains, cursed forests, and deadly swamps toward Ebenezer’s tower. To save Elrond and find a way home, he must stop hiding behind the hero he created and become one himself.
