HEARTBEAT is a dark fantasy action-romance anime set in a world where demonic portals unleash terrifying creatures upon humanity. Jae, a compassionate yet stubborn young warrior haunted by her village’s destruction, discovers an ancient power hidden within her blood: she is descended from both demons and angels. When her demonic abilities awaken during a deadly battle, Jae struggles to control the darkness threatening to consume her. Accompanied by Kairo, a mischievous male demon spirit, Seraphina, a luminous angelic guardian, and her sassy, ride-or-die best friend Dii, she embarks on a dangerous journey to confront the Demon King. Between brutal battles, supernatural transformations, shocking betrayals, hilarious friendships, and an intense slow-burn romance, Jae must uncover her family’s secrets and master both sides of her power before the worlds of Heaven, humanity, and the Underworld collide.
