After three years fighting for a battalion reclaimed from the Empire, one of six surviving original soldiers is fatally wounded during an assault. Amid a chaotic attack by feral machine wyverns, an Empire dropship rescues the dying soldiers. The wounded fighter is scanned through a process called CTS, their mind preserved as their body dies, then awakens days later in a white room inside a mechanical wyvern body. Their booting OS reveals PROJECT KUDO, an abandoned weapons program from two thousand years ago. Death may not be the end, but survival means discovering what was preserved, what was changed, and why the Empire brought them back.
