1TRIBE

An Afrofuturistic fantasy about four gifted young African men at Bluford University in Tubman, Pennsylvania: Koinet 2 (School) of the Maasai embodies Mind, Nomau 2 (School) of the Dogon embodies Body, Micah 2 (School) of the Zulu embodies Heart, and Ekene 2 (School) of Nigeria embodies Soul. Each carries a fragment of an ancient herdsman's immortal soul, whose mystical Song of Life once saved humanity from the dark deity Blahyi Roho Mbovu. Guided by the ancient storyteller and spiritual guardian Momma Kidjo, the four discover that their musical talents awaken supernatural powers capable of healing, inspiring, and protecting humanity. As their brotherhood grows, Blahyi's silent henchmen, the Kimya, work to keep them apart and prevent the shattered soul from becoming whole. Together, the four must navigate college life, embrace their ancestral heritage, and transform their musical connection into humanity's defense against an ancient evil. At its heart, 1TRIBE celebrates African culture, music, brotherhood, and the truth that people from different lands and languages are ultimately one tribe.
