In Specula, low-ranking Mirror Men Bass and Frederick Hoovah work for the Blood Ruby Mob: steal what they’re told, move what they’re given, ask no questions, and preferably come home alive. Bass is convinced he’s destined to win, Fred has an almost supernatural relationship with dumb luck, and Bakhtak keeps turning small problems into catastrophes.
