My Part-Time Job at Slender Mansion

Gothy Mourning is a broke, pink-obsessed goth barely surviving a soul-sucking thrift-store job when she finds a suspicious flyer: maid wanted, late-night shifts, comfortable around blood, $50 an hour. Rent is due, and her cat has expensive taste. Coordinates lead her into forbidden woods, where masked escorts guide her across an unnatural boundary into a hidden mansion inhabited by killers, ghosts, monsters, proxies, and creatures she thought existed only in urban legends. Her new boss is a faceless forest entity. Her job is to clean the mansion, do laundry, dispose of suspicious messes, follow bizarre rules, and avoid becoming one. Retail exhaustion has made Gothy unusually hard to scare into quitting. As she forms friendships, attracts dangerous attention, uncovers the mansion's secrets, and falls into a slow-burn romance with a homicidal pretty boy, the terrifying workplace begins to feel like home. A campy supernatural workplace comedy about internet-horror nostalgia, creepy-cute fashion, found family, and belonging.
