REG-U

A dark procedural anime thriller about REG-U, an interdimensional authority that verifies standing, consent, identity, jurisdiction, and legal claims without treating people as property. Each episode is a recovered incident file where fluorescent offices, surveillance footage, archives, strange courtrooms, and impossible corridors reveal that bureaucracy may be the only barrier against something worse. Mara Vale, a missing-person survivor legally declared dead after vanishing seven years ago, returns without aging and without memories. REG-U discovers that something has repeatedly filed valid-looking claims using her identity, and that two continuities now appear to have standing under the same name. One claimant waits outside the intake room, demanding recognition. REG-U must determine which claimant is actually Mara while psychological horror, mystery, dark humor, and procedural dread escalate through discovery.
