Summer Fever

A horror anime set in the Heian period. A woman lovingly cares for a sick boy, feeding him and brushing his hair while claiming he is her son. He believes her, but he often collapses, cannot stay awake, and glimpses a grotesque figure watching from the corner of his eye. Cicadas return as an ominous symbol beneath the wholesome surface.
