The Flowers I Cough Up For You

At Westbridge Academy, 18-year-old Akira Hayashi has secretly been in love with his childhood best friend, Elliot Williams, for three years. Unfortunately, his unrequited feelings have caused him to develop Hanahaki Disease, a fatal illness that makes him cough up white camellias. He has only three months left unless Elliot returns his feelings or he undergoes surgery, which would erase his romantic feelings and memories of Elliot. Things become worse when Sebastian Laurent, a charming but manipulative 17-year-old student, enters their friendship. Secretly wanting Elliot for himself, Sebastian spreads lies about Akira, making him appear clingy, jealous, and controlling. Eventually, Elliot begins distancing himself from Akira. Now Akira must decide whether to confess his feelings, undergo surgery, or allow the flowers to consume him. Will Elliot discover the truth and return his love, or will Akira lose everything while Sebastian gets the boy he wants?
