Akane Fujimori, Vondreas “Dre,” and Juliana “Hedra” Santos survive Charmex’s illegal time-travel reactor as it destroys their world and tears reality open. Centered on Akane, the three form a tribe and a charged, mutual romantic bond while reviving the displaced synthetic humans, preserving their personhood, and learning to survive on an Earth far from the modern era. They investigate Charmex’s motives, build their own temporal GPS and reactor, and discover they can travel to any planet they choose, setting up their return and a chance to stop Charmex from repeating the catastrophe.
