The Infernal Court

Vaelith rules the Lower Realm from the Black Throne, permitting ambition and betrayal until they threaten his authority or the realm's stability. The story follows him as its primary viewpoint while rotating through Court demons and mortals whose schemes, bargains, and betrayals eventually circle back to the throne. Vaelith is powerful but fallible: enemies can deceive him, his judgments can be wrong, and successful plots may remain hidden until much later. Beneath the Court's political struggle, an ancient buried power is beginning to awaken.
