Peaceful supernatural communities may coexist with it through treaties and agreements. Its Agents are still people who disagree, make mistakes, form friendships and rivalries, hold prejudices, break rules, and interpret their duty differently. Experienced field Agents may be entrusted with a single Relic: a supernatural object with a unique ability, history, limitation, and cost. Relics should be distinctive extensions of their Agents rather than simple power-ups. Some choose their wielders, and some are dangerous even to their owners. The story begins with an ordinary human becoming caught in a supernatural incident they were never supposed to witness. The encounter unfolds through the protagonist’s choices. They might interfere, run, help someone, become injured, make an unexpected connection, or simply survive. The Agency eventually arrives and contains the incident. After discovering how much the protagonist witnessed, Agents take them in for questioning and investigate whether anything supernatural happened to them.
