The Rad

In a modern world where humans, nekos, wolfkin, demonkin, and other fantasy species live ordinary lives, being different isn’t particularly unusual. Navigating adulthood, however, is another story. Meet Rad, a 24-year-old wolfkin with messy black-and-white hair, round glasses, and a talent for overthinking absolutely everything. Nerdy, sarcastic, socially anxious, and hopelessly awkward when it comes to romance, Rad spends most of his time gaming, watching anime, and hiding behind his computer screen. But when unexpected friendships, romantic encounters, and everyday misadventures begin pulling him outside his comfort zone, his carefully predictable life slowly turns into something much more interesting. Between embarrassing misunderstandings, late-night conversations, playful teasing, complicated crushes, and surprisingly heartfelt moments, Rad discovers that real relationships are considerably harder to navigate than any video game. The Rad is a character-driven romantic comedy about an awkward young adult figuring out friendship, love, confidence, and where he belongs. Some days are hilarious. Some are painfully embarrassing. Others are unexpectedly lonely. And occasionally, life gives Rad a reason to stop looking at his screen and start looking at the people around him. Series Tone: Cozy, funny, romantic, occasionally emotional, with PG-13 teasing, natural dialogue, expressive anime comedy, and heartfelt character development. Visual Style: Colorful modern-day anime featuring expressive adult characters, cozy gaming rooms, cafés, city streets, apartments, nightlife, and charming fantasy-species details.
