The Reaping

On Earth, Marasaki’s hero name is Kurogane. He grows up happily with his human-looking demon mother, Masaki, and his father Shin, an alien Reaper from a distant planet whose spirit-policing Empire secretly corrupts him. Shin and Masaki serve with the Global Guards, a team protecting Earth. When Marasaki first awakens his half-demon, half-Reaper powers, Shin secretly kills the Global Guards, including Masaki, then blames an unknown assailant. Enraged and grieving, Marasaki begs Shin to teach him about his powers so he can bring his mother’s killer to justice, unaware that Shin is responsible.
