Vanadis

A teenage student at a hero academy secretly possesses Archangel, an extremely rare power that makes its wielder an order of magnitude stronger than any other hero. Ren Vale publicly uses Bio-Augmentation to boost or drain physical abilities, marked by a golden aura or purple haze. His hidden Archangel power grants enormous wings he keeps withdrawn into his back, because anyone who discovers them may capture or kill him. After two years on the run, Ren is captured by an Academy retrieval team and brought to Admission Day with the other first-year hero students. He registers and undergoes ability and power-level scans while pretending Bio-Augmentation is his only power. The Academy's traditional first-day tournament will force the new students to reveal what they can do.
