Everyone starts at the bottom of a hundred-level tower. Few have the willpower, determination, ability, or strength to climb it, but reaching the top is said to grant any wish. Every ten levels exponentially increase a climber’s wealth, power, and influence. When someone comes of age, they receive a status screen showing RPG stats, talents, skills, magics, items, quests, jobs or classes, and relevant information they have acquired, making them eligible to challenge the tower. Kairo, a newly come-of-age boy, is the son of famous climbers who reached level 40, a feat fewer than one hundred people have achieved. His parents vanished attempting one final climb, and now he must find them despite relying on their reputation and never taking his own training seriously. Kairo, Kansas, and Viki made a pact to challenge the tower together once Kairo came of age.
