In a post-apocalyptic world, humanity teeters on extinction beneath constant attacks from demons of every shape and size, all ruled by the tyrannical Varouk. After teenage boatman Kota is attacked and dragged beneath the sea, he glimpses the eye of a legendary world serpent. He returns with a desperate plan: find the serpent, uncover the hidden hammer of its eternal rival, the dead thunder god, and see whether Kota is worthy to wield its power against Varouk.
