They later join Rook Ashvale, a swordsman searching for answers about his own arrival. As Kaien remembers the weapon that killed him, he discovers it belongs to Rook, who was transported to this world and is secretly connected to Kaien’s past life. Before Kaien can confront him, Vera Noctis, a mysterious giantess, appears in the ruins and reveals that Kaien’s reincarnation was deliberate. Someone brought him to this world for a reason, and his killer may know why.
