Kaien Takamori was once an ordinary hunter. One night, a masked swordsman mysteriously kills him. Kaien awakens in another world as a forty-foot-tall giant, remembering his hunting skills but not his death. Hiding in a forest, he meets Liora Veyne, a wandering mage investigating ancient ruins. She realizes he is not the monster others believe him to be, and her magic reveals fragments of his forgotten memories. They later join Rook Ashvale, a swordsman searching for answers about his own arrival. As Kaien remembers the weapon that killed him, he discovers it belongs to Rook, who was transported to this world and is secretly connected to Kaien’s past life. Before Kaien can confront him, Vera Noctis, a mysterious giantess, appears in the ruins and reveals that Kaien’s reincarnation was deliberate. Someone brought him to this world for a reason, and his killer may know why.
