The Queen's Feast

The kingdom is starving. The Queen is not. She demands a grand banquet to celebrate a prosperity that exists only in her gut. Ser Lancelo, the Queen's favored knight, must traverse the kingdoms in search of the rarest ingredients - a dragons's heart, leviathan roe, and a basilisk's eye, to name a few. Lancelo is genuinely good, devoted to a fault, and utterly blind to the Queen's corruption - revising every atrocity as justified royal duty. Forced to accompany him is Ichaboda Crone, the kingdom's shrewd, sharp-tongued Mistress of Coin, former smuggler, and keeper of The Ledger. This darkly comedic anime about blind loyalty and the distance between duty and conscience follows their journey through starving villages, dragon lairs, and high seas adventure - one impossible ingredient at a time.
